What is the Difference Between the On-Page SEO and Off-Page SEO?
There is a bit of a difference. Let’s start by saying that these are 2 techniques for 2 different jobs. On-page happens “on your page”, meaning that the whole optimization part is solely happening on the front-end and back-end of your website.
However, the off-page doesn’t happen “on your website”, but on search engines (such as Google, Bing, etc.). Off-page is more about showing to the search engines that you’re actually worth people’s attention because other websites link to you. Which showcases trust to Google. While yes, it is technically connected to your website, at the same time it doesn’t require us to touch your website.
Both of these techniques can have an enormous impact on how your website ranks on the search engines. A recent study by Backlinko, where they did an analysis of 11.8 million Google search results, pages with backlinks from multiple domains rank significantly higher, with the #1 result having an average of 3.8x more backlinks than positions #2-#10.
To rank high, you again need good keywords, and for them to be in the important places, (alongside many other important things), and this is where On-page SEO does the work.
